<p>I have read alot of people go on about college is this the same as our uni. Our unis offer master degrees post grad degrees and batchlor degrees or are they the same as out tafes which offor diplomas?… Im currently at uni in Australia studying Chiropractic master of health science (complimentary medicine) is this a uni course in America?
Way different. For instance I am studying a medical degree, which is not recognised or taught in America or American UNI’s. Our systems are completely different, were more towards the british system. I think its best off you like me finish the rest of your education in Australia.

Id be surprised if it wasnt.

also from Australia
the biggest difference I know of is if you want to do postgraduate studies(as you obviously already are) you have to study about an extra 3 years

Depends on which courses you are talking about. In Aus there are some three year programs that are four years in the US. Most programs are four years in the US and it would be rare to find a three year program. Also some degrees earn you some kind of certification after the course. For example with chiropractic degrees you probably get certified by some local or national governing organization. So you couldn’t just go to the US and use that certification right away. You would have to get certified with whatever the local organization is in the US. I’ve had a few friends that did an exchange in Aus and all said it was way easier. I know it’s easier to get into grad school in Aus as compared to the US. The GPA’s required are lower because a smaller precentage of people go on. Overall, I don’t think the two are exactly comparable but higher education is always a good thing!!

Chiropractic is regarded as quackery among intelligent Americans. No serious university offers chiroquackery as a degree.
There are several unaffiliated quack schools for chiropractors. They are differentiated by being either "straight" or "mixers". The straight school – such as Palmer – still teach the old crackpot theory that disease is caused by blockages – "subluxations" – along the spine. The "mixer" schools generally snicker at this stupidity, and teach a mix of back cracking and vitamin hustling.

I think they’re quite different. Theirs seem more competitive and I think you even specialise later. Also I think they stay on campus more. I think it is common to do a more general degree first before others like people are pre-med and pre-law so they do two degress where we would just do one.
