Can one be "apprenticed for chiropractic"?

Ummm, no. Chiropractors receive the same length of training as a standard Medical Doctor, minus the residency requirements. 4 years of pre-Med and 4 years of Medical School. There is no easy road. You might consider becoming a Physical Therapist instead. 4 years of Pre-Physical Therapy and 1-2 years of Physical Therapy School. Many schools offer a 4+1 option.
